How to buy health insurance in Florida
Florida uses the federal marketplace, HealthCare.gov, for ACA plans and income-based premium tax credits. Open enrollment typically begins November 1. I can help you enroll in a Marketplace plan at no extra cost, or show you private PPO-style alternatives that may fit better if you're healthy and don't qualify for much of a subsidy.

Open enrollment & year-round options
ACA open enrollment happens once a year, starting in the fall. Missed it? A qualifying life event (moving, losing coverage, marriage, a new baby) opens a Special Enrollment Period, and many private and supplemental plans are available year-round. Here's how Special Enrollment Periods work.
Honest note: some private options are limited-benefit or excepted-benefit plans that are not ACA-qualified major medical and don't count as minimum essential coverage. I'll always tell you exactly which is which before you decide.
